The completeness of my thesis marks my university life coming to an end. Looking back to the four years of life, I feels so excited. Under the support and help of my teachers, parents and classmates, I have gained a lot. Now, I want to express my thanks to them.

First of all, my sincere appreciation goes to my supervisor Mr. Zhang Jiawei, for his constant support and encourage. He leads me through all the stage of the completeness of this paper. Without his patient and illuminating instruction, my thesis cannot finished successfully.

In addition, I would like to thank all the teachers from the School of Languages and Culture, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, from whom I learned a lot of valuable knowledge in my four years of university study.

Abstract: With the development of society and economy, the communication between China and foreign countries in the world is more and more frequent. Language, as a bridge of communication between people, plays an irreplaceable role in external communication. Therefore, learning a second language has become the inevitable trend in the world today. However, in the process of learning a second language, the phenomenon of parent language transfer is especially obvious.

The essay holds on the opinion that the mother tongue has a great effect on the high-grade pupils’ acquisition of the English pronunciation in primary school. After making an analysis of these effects, we have emphasized more on the study of phenomena of the first language’s transfer on the English pronunciation. After that, we have carried out some researches about the reasons of these phenomena. In the end, we have put forward the feasible ways to help the students to learn the second language. This paper has found that the English pronunciation’s negative transfer in students is greater than the positive transfer through the study on parent language in English pronunciation of high-grade pupils in primary school. Students know very little about pronunciation. They have poor pronunciation. Through studying the parent language on pronunciation transfer of second language learning is conducive to our understanding of second language pronunciation under the influence of mother tongue. We have analyzed the specific characteristics and reasons of second language pronunciation affected by parent language. It is helpful for us to master the second language pronunciation and better learn the second language.

摘要:随着经济社会的发展,我国与世界各国的交流越来越频繁。语言作为人与人之间沟通的桥梁,在对外交际中也发挥着不可替代的作用。因此,学习第二语言已经成为当今世界的必然趋势。然而在学习第二语言的过程中,母语迁徙的现象表现得尤其明显。

本文主要从语音迁徙入手,研究了母语对小学高年级学生的英语语音学习的影响。本篇论文发现学生在英语语音方面的负迁徙大于正迁徙,学生对一些语音知识了解较少并且发音不准。研究母语对二语学习的语音迁徙,有利于我们了解母语对二语的影响,分析二语发音受母语发音影响的具体特征及其原因,这对我们掌握二语发音,更好地学习二语有很大帮助。
